The Washington Association of Landscape Professionals (WALP) honors members for outstanding performance and workmanship, recognizing recipients with the Annual Environmental Landscape Awards. The work honored is comprised of landscape design/build entries, landscape maintenance work, season color displays, and various special project entries. Additional categories include commercial, residential, or multi-family sites, wetland mitigation projects and landscape renovation projects.
Professionals representing different disciplines in the Green Industry judge award entries on strict criteria that includes project cost, level of effort and difficulty, and overall quality, to name a few. Three levels of awards are given:
